Job Description:
Ajilon Communications is currently seeking an experienced
Gas Fitter/Technician (G1 or G2) to provide installation and repair
services to residential and commercial customers on behalf of our
client, Canada's largest gas distribution company.
In this role, you will utilize your strong communication
and organization skills in order to arrange and confirm appointments
with clients that are conducive to both your schedules.
You will
also utilize your prior field experience as a Gas Fitter / Technician to
perform meter installations, removals and repairs.
The majority of appointments are completed within regular
business hours from Monday-Friday however we do require an individual
who is also able to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.
The work is centred mainly in the GTA (905/416), with
some work in the 519 and 705 areas.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual that would
like to utilize both their customer service and technical capabilities,
and appreciates a business environment that allows him/her flexible
scheduling and the ability to work autonomously.

Qualifications:

Must be legally entitled to work in
Canada
(Canadian citizen, landed immigrant)

Must have a minimum of 2 years recent experience
installing gas piping

Must be TSSA certified – will be required to provide a
copy of certification

Must have a valid driver’s license (G1 is not
acceptable) and a clean driving record – if using a company supplied
vehicle, no more than 3 demerit points is acceptable (a recent
Driver’s Abstract will be required)

Must be able to provide own tools (material required
for work will be provided); it is preferred that the successful
candidate have their own work vehicle however a company vehicle can be
supplied (if using own vehicle, must provide a copy of valid
insurance)

Must have daily access to a computer and email; must be
computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly

Must have own cell phone

Must be available to work Monday – Friday during
regular business hours AND occasional evenings and Saturdays

Must be able to provide a record of valid liability
insurance ($1 million minimum)

Able to work independently in the field

Must have strong communication skills – written and
verbal – fluency in English is a must

Must be capable of handling all physical aspects of the
job-bending, lifting, stretching, carrying meters

Must be able to drive and work outside in all types of
weather conditions; must be prepared to cover all of the GTA and
surrounding areas
