US- Nationwide: DMS Testers

Responsibilities of the include performing advanced hardware, functional and network testing on multiple product lines. Must have an advanced understanding of customer networks. Must be able to perform product upgrades and integrate new and/or extension product hardware. Must be able to perform complex product design changes. Must develop and implement detailed product test plans. Must be able to perform complex trouble shooting on product problems.advanced hardware, functional, and networks testing of Nortel products on customer sites and support successful job completion with high quality while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Knowledge is in multiple product lines for Nortel products.

1. Understand and use established safety practices.
2. Quality awareness and ability to implement quality control processes.
3. Performs inventory of all job-related material.
4. Reads and stays current on installation documentation.
5. Reads and interprets Engineering specs, prints, and drawings.
6. Demonstrates proper use of tools.
7. Performs all physical and mechanical installation activities when necessary.
8. Performs cabling, power and grounding activities.
9. Travel away from home for several weeks may be required on demand.
10. Shift work required upon demand.
11. Physical lifting of a minimum of 25 pounds required.
12. Conducts work assignments, communicate, dress and assist customer in a professional manner.
13. Maintain on-site job records and administration tracking.
14. May include Site Team Leader assignment.
15. Testing
        *Performs power verification on multiple product types.
        *Performs advanced hardware, functional & network testing in an in-service environment on multiple products..
        *Ability to perform in bay testing, trouble shooting and alarm verification.
        *Analyze, modify operational measurements and parameters.
        *Perform Data fill, understand logs and configure network element managers.
        *Performs multi-product upgrades on in-service equipment.
        *Provides both pre and post-cutover services supporting the integration or re-arrangement of the customer’s
         network.
        *Develops detailed product test plans and performs advanced troubleshooting.
